**About the Water Section**
Where people live and spend time, whether in a large city or a rural area, there is a need for infrastructure for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. WSP's Water Section offers a comprehensive range of consulting services in these areas. Our consultants possess extensive expertise, from overarching investigations in early stages to detailed technical solutions in pipeline and process engineering. Our services also cover operational and maintenance issues, water economics, stormwater and flood investigations, modeling of natural watercourses, planning issues, as well as legal matters and water organization.
With our 180 consultants across 22 offices in the country, we are a strong player and confidently refer to ourselves as specialists in water management. Our national section actively works on technology development, resource allocation, and knowledge transfer to ensure that both the working environment for our employees and our delivery to clients maintain top quality. Water issues are integral to all major community projects today, and in the future, climate adaptation issues will become even more relevant. Challenges that we at WSP see as crucial for us to address in collaboration with our clients.
**About the Position**
In the role of designer, you will work on assignments within water and wastewater design. As a water designer, your primary task will be to prepare design documents for the construction and renovation of water pipeline networks. Design work is carried out in various phases, from preliminary studies to construction documents.
**Examples of Responsibilities:**
- Create drawings in CAD (Civil 3D)
- Work with technical descriptions according to AMA Anläggning
- Dimensioning of water pipeline networks, quantity take-offs
- Collaboration with other technical areas
There are excellent opportunities for development within the technical track or towards a role as project manager. To assist you in finding sustainable and feasible technical solutions, you will have experienced colleagues in water design within the department. We provide you with the opportunity to work independently while also offering the support you need.
Your immediate supervisor is skilled at creating a safe environment where one dares to make mistakes, ask questions, and share thoughts, coaching you forward. We have established an environment where employees trust each other and help one another with various issues. There is good structure and clarity within the section to ensure that you feel you can influence both the operations and your own situation.
**Your Profile**
We believe that you, as an applicant for the designer role, have 3+ years of experience in water design and a post-secondary education with a relevant focus.
We prefer that you are proficient in CAD software and ideally have experience with design in Civil 3D, as this is one of the software programs we use in our projects. It is advantageous if you have experience with various software for calculating and dimensioning different systems, as well as preparing technical descriptions with quantity lists in AMA.
It is important to us that you want to work and develop in the consulting role, and thus qualities such as humility and business acumen are appreciated. To thrive with us, we believe you are a social and self-driven person who enjoys a varied workday. Since our deliveries are primarily in Swedish, it is essential that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
