**Description**
The Adult Education Department in Karlstad conducts activities in Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), Komvux as adapted education, theoretical courses at basic and upper secondary levels, as well as vocational, apprenticeship, and combined education, including Higher Vocational Education.
In adult education, we work to develop our students' knowledge and skills to strengthen their position in the labor market and society, as well as to promote their personal development.
We are now looking for someone who wants to help shape tomorrow's nursing assistants.
**Responsibilities**
The position includes planning and delivering instruction, as well as assessment and grading in care subjects. Following up on students' workplace-based learning (APL) is also part of the role.
With us, you will have a varied job where you will work independently and in teams. You will also be involved in the development work of the team and the unit.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for candidates who are trained care teachers or have extensive experience in care and social services. You possess strong pedagogical skills and can easily translate your practical experience in care work into theoretical and practical teaching in the classroom.
To succeed in this role, you are structured, solution-focused, and pedagogical. You have a flexible working style and are accustomed to quickly shifting focus when necessary.
You also adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in change. The work involves documentation, which means you must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good digital competence.
As a care teacher, you are not just a knowledge provider; you are also a leader in the classroom. You need to be able to inspire, motivate, and build relationships while maintaining a clear pedagogical direction based on given governing documents.
