About this role

Do you want to help build the future learning environment for healthcare and social services in Eskilstuna? We are looking for someone to play a key role in the establishment of our new Competence Center – an initiative for professional development, onboarding, and lifelong learning for all healthcare and social services staff. The Competence Center is currently under construction within the Health and Social Services Administration, giving you the opportunity to influence its foundation. The Competence Center is a physical and organizational unit within the Health and Social Services Administration. Here, we bring together onboarding, continuing education, and pedagogical support through a wide range of learning formats – from blended learning (a combination of digital and physical learning), AI and VR support, to mentoring, train-the-trainer concepts, and peer learning. The goal is to create a structured and knowledge-based learning environment where theory and practice meet and develop together with the organization. Here, you will have the chance to influence how we work with future competence supply – for real. RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the Competence Center both as an organizational unit and as an inspiring learning environment. You will be responsible for developing and refining educational content and pedagogical models, while also driving the implementation of modern learning strategies such as blended learning, flipped classroom, empathy labs, and reflection methodologies. Together with colleagues, you will also contribute to the design of spaces and method rooms that support future ways of learning. You will establish structures that ensure quality, follow-up, and evaluation of learning, and serve as an important pedagogical support for both colleagues and trainers. In close collaboration with the unit manager, support educator, specialist nursing assistant, and other key functions, you will contribute to developing and disseminating competence within the organization, including through mentoring and train-the-trainer setups. This is a role where you can make an impact and help create the conditions for sustainable and future-oriented learning. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a pedagogical university degree, preferably with a focus on vocational education in healthcare and social services, and who thrives in a role where teaching, mentoring, and developing educational programs are central. You have experience working with adult education or workplace-based competence development and possess a good understanding of healthcare and social services work, allowing you to translate practice into clear and relevant pedagogy. You view digital tools as essential elements in teaching and are eager to use them to create engaging and accessible learning environments. As a person, you are inclusive, attentive, and flexible, with a natural ability to meet and teach individuals from diverse linguistic backgrounds. You work in a structured and clear manner, have a solution-focused approach, and are proactive. At the same time, you collaborate well with others and feel comfortable working both independently and in a team. A valid driver's license (category B) is preferred. It is an advantage if you have experience in mentoring and peer learning, if you are a CPR instructor, or if you have a background in the field. OTHER Do you want to help lead the way? We offer a workplace that is at the forefront and leads the way in one of Sweden's most sustainable municipalities. Together with competent and engaged colleagues, you will help develop Eskilstuna through good sustainable meetings, guidance, and service. Through active and courageous employee engagement as well as a trusting and committed leadership, you will drive change. You make a difference for people every day. We welcome employees from diverse backgrounds and work to ensure that our workplaces are accessible to everyone. During the interview, you will need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance. We ask you to apply for the position via the link in this advertisement.
