About Us Psychiatric Department 3 primarily serves individuals with mood disorders and has four beds for user-controlled admissions. The transformation of healthcare means that we are constantly developing and changing our services, both in terms of our employees' professional development and flexibility, as well as the content of care, where digital tools are becoming an increasingly natural part. We care for patients under the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Compulsory Mental Care Act (LPT). The department also has a geriatric psychiatric mandate for the 70+ age group. The department collaborates with our outpatient clinics as well as with primary care and the municipalities' social services throughout Sjuhärad and Mittenälvsborg. About Our Open Position As the unit manager, you will be responsible for operations, finances, and personnel for 30 employees in the unit. The staff team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, care assistants, and a medical secretary. Physicians also work in the teams and have their own manager with whom you will collaborate. You will lead and develop the unit, where you will motivate and develop your employees in your leadership, so that together you can meet the transformation of healthcare. Furthermore, as a manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring that care for our patients functions effectively, is provided in a timely manner, and is delivered appropriately. You will be part of the management team for the psychiatric care area and work closely with approximately 20 other managers to drive the strategic development of the area. In your role as a manager at SÄS, you will contribute to the development of the administration and ensure that decisions made are implemented and adhered to. You will report directly to the area manager for the psychiatric care area. Your Profile You are a licensed nurse with experience in specialized psychiatry. If you have specialized training in psychiatry or previous leadership experience/experience as a leadership trainee, it is an advantage. We expect you to possess strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and create participation within the employee group. You value your employees' competencies and trust their ability to find solutions and improvements in daily work. Communication is a natural part of your management style, and you express yourself diplomatically in the contexts in which you operate. You easily establish good and lasting relationships in both internal and external constellations. You are analytical and have the ability to manage complex situations while seeing the bigger picture. Furthermore, it is essential for you as a manager to be a balanced individual who can maintain calm and engagement in challenging and complex situations.
