JOB DESCRIPTION Vingåker Municipality is now seeking an engaged manager for our elderly and disability care services. The department is responsible for support services to residents in the municipality, and we have 350 dedicated employees. Our entire elderly care service is located in the same building in the central area. In the same building, you will also find the management for health and medical care as well as the management for disability care, along with parts of that operation. We actively work with strategies to meet demographic challenges and there is a strong openness to try new working methods and new technologies. We focus on digital solutions and welfare technology to enhance quality. Vingåker Municipality has short decision-making paths and there is a trusting collaboration between the department and the political level. In the county, we have developed a good collaboration with the regional healthcare system, and locally we benefit from working in close cooperation with the health center. In this role, you will have a strategic and coordinating responsibility for both elderly care and disability care. As the manager of both operations, you will drive and develop quality and goal fulfillment in line with the committee's and administration's objectives. You are expected to lead, plan, and develop the operations with clarity, innovation, and a holistic focus. Based on political and cross-administrative goals, you will lead your 10 unit managers with close leadership and monitor quality, finances, and work environment. You will have employee, budget, and work environment responsibilities and will report directly to the social manager, playing an important role in the administration's management group where you contribute to the positive development of the administration as a whole. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education degree. It is advantageous if you have documented training in leadership, quality work, finance, and/or labor law. To succeed in this role, you need to have: - Extensive knowledge in elderly and/or disability care - Very good knowledge of current laws and regulations - Long experience in leading other managers and the ability to create engagement and lead development in the field - Good experience in budget and personnel responsibility, as well as quality management, financial management, and labor law - An interest in ensuring that the operations use tax funds in the most cost-effective way and a passionate interest in quality and development issues - The ability to create successful operations where both employees and care recipients are satisfied. As a leader, you are engaging and motivate your employees. You create conditions for good collaboration by clearly and simply communicating information, goals, direction, and feedback. You develop the operations together with the unit managers and employees, leveraging competencies and creating participation to achieve good results. You are strategic, have a holistic perspective, and are willing to make decisions to achieve the operational goals, acting in accordance with decisions made and guidelines. You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
