Your teaching will involve working independently and with support from after-school program instructors or teaching assistants. Within the grade-level Small Team, you'll distribute resources based on where needs are greatest. Since our organization is dynamic, needs can change. This means the composition varies, from a single professional to multiple professionals in the same classroom. Our organization is structured with three groups per grade level to maintain smaller group sizes and optimize our facilities. You'll join a workplace with strong cohesion, where support is always nearby. Job Responsibilities We are currently seeking a teacher substitute for our fantastic 2nd grade. Your primary task is teaching grades preschool through 3rd grade. You'll adopt our collaborative teaching approach, which involves sharing students across the grade level to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction. In practice, this means joint planning and teaching shared among grade-level teachers, allowing the team and students to determine what works best for your groups. Physical education is taught by subject-specific teachers. Your main focus will be planning, implementing, and conducting instruction to help students reach their full potential. At Vasaskolan, all class teachers are mentors for a specific group. You will have mentorship responsibilities, emphasizing beneficial collaboration with guardians. Our intention is for teachers to follow their group from preschool through 3rd grade. Qualifications We seek a licensed teacher for preschool through 3rd grade. You should be flexible, as each school day is unique. We want someone inventive, curious, and who enjoys challenges, as you'll interact with our students in various configurations.
