Job Description
As a specialist in general medicine at our clinic, you will have a varied and meaningful role where you assess and treat patients, both during scheduled and urgent visits. It is important for us to work in a structured manner with a clear focus on our patients.
Part of the role involves mentoring junior doctors (AT and ST), where you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge, inspire, and help shape the future colleagues. You will work closely with all professions at the clinic and play a key role in our continuous improvement and development efforts.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is a qualified specialist in general medicine and has experience working in primary care. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to view the operations from a holistic perspective, focusing on both the patient and the clinic. You need to have good communication skills to build strong relationships with patients as well as colleagues. As a person, you are attentive to our patients' needs, and your approach is professional and humble. Experience and/or interest in mentoring junior doctors is an advantage.
Who are we?
You will be part of our medical team, which currently includes two permanently employed general practitioners and four ST doctors based at the health center. The operations also include a physiotherapy clinic.
Other professionals working with us include district nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists.
What do we offer?
We are a well-functioning health center with permanent doctors and nurse-led clinics such as elderly care, diabetes care, asthma/COPD care, and district nurse clinics. We offer good conditions and benefits. Our premises are located in a pleasant area in central Uppsala, and we serve approximately 6,350 registered patients.
