Västervik Municipality is seeking an engaged individual who wants to develop together with us. As a welfare technology technician in Västervik Municipality, we work to help our operations with welfare technology and strive to develop and explore new ways of working. We are currently facing significant challenges and want someone who wants to influence and develop our operations.
Work Responsibilities
In the role of Welfare Technology Technician, you will be part of a small work group responsible for welfare technology operations within Social Services. Your tasks will include installation, maintenance, and uninstallation of welfare technology, contact with users and relatives, and welfare technology administration. A significant portion of work will be performed in users' homes throughout the municipality.
A typical day begins with reviewing the status of installed welfare technology. You will then usually have several visits to users to install, for example, emergency alarms. During these visits, you will demonstrate how the emergency alarm or other technology works for users, relatives, or employees. Another part of your daily tasks involves communicating with welfare technology suppliers, our employees, and the group within social services.
As more welfare technology solutions are offered to our citizens, the responsibility for installation, operation, and support will encompass additional or different products in the future. Therefore, it is crucial to have an interest in learning new technologies and systems.
Your Competence
We are seeking candidates with at least upper secondary education and several years of documented work experience in one of the following areas: elderly care/care services, welfare technology, or technology-focused work with individuals. A technical education from high school or university is meritorious for the role.
We want someone who wants to help develop the future of care - using technology as a tool and innovation as a driving force. You are passionate about helping people live the life they desire while having a genuine interest in digital development and technical solutions. To succeed in this role, you need good computer skills and the ability to contribute new perspectives and technical expertise to our existing team.
The position requires a Class B driver's license and the ability to express yourself articulately in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
As a person, you are collaborative, meaning you can easily and without ego contact and work with various individuals. You work systematically and plan your work well. Furthermore, you are results-oriented and work to achieve set goals.
