As a UX designer within the IT department of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you will work on further developing and managing our common design system. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, architects, and business representatives. Your work will help ensure a consistent and user-centered experience in our digital systems, both for internal users and for solutions related to our infrastructure development.
The role requires you to be proactive and engaged, with a strong foundation and understanding of various areas and needs.

We are looking for candidates with:
• An academic degree or relevant vocational training in a related field, such as system science, computer engineering, software engineering, civil engineering, or similar, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Multiple years of experience as a UX designer.
• Experience working with and developing design systems.
• Experience in accessibility adaptation (WCAG 2.1).
• Experience working with the Figma tool.
• Experience with design principles for responsive solutions.
• Experience in conducting and analyzing user surveys, workshops, and tests.
• Very good knowledge in research work.
• Good knowledge in accessibility adaptations.
• Excellent knowledge of design principles.
• Excellent knowledge in interface design.
• Excellent knowledge in needs mapping.
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience working closely with frontend developers (Blazer, web components, HTML, CSS, React, or similar frameworks).
• Familiarity with government-wide guidelines (e.g., DIGG's recommendations for digital development).
• Experience working in larger organizations with complex IT infrastructures.
• Experience in service design/methods for needs mapping.
• Experience as a UX designer in the field of infrastructure.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of technology related to infrastructure.
