Development Teacher in After-School Activities at Kristinebergskolan Do you want to help shape the after-school activities of tomorrow? At Kristinebergskolan, we are seeking a development teacher for after-school activities who, together with school management, will lead and develop pedagogical work. The assignment involves complementing school learning and planning, implementing, and following up after-school activities while supporting students' social development. You will work from a full-day perspective where school, recess activities, and after-school programs are equally important for students to develop, feel safe, and meet academic requirements. You are well-versed in the curriculum for after-school activities, preschool classes, and primary school. You want to make a difference and help shape the future. Kristinebergskolan is a preschool to 6th-grade school with approximately 430 students, located centrally in Borås. We have a three-parallel school operation that also includes 4 after-school activity departments. We work in teams and strive for close collaboration between grades and departments. We have experienced staff who, together with students, create a good learning environment through a shared approach and common rules of conduct. Our students have access to a large schoolyard, soccer fields, and nearby sports facilities that promote physical activity and creative outdoor experiences. Development Teacher in After-School Activities at Kristinebergskolan Job Responsibilities As a development teacher, you will have a targeted assignment involving leading the school's development work in after-school activities together with school management. • You demonstrate commitment and genuine interest in working in after-school activities and drive collegial collaboration on development processes within the after-school activity mandate. • Together with school leadership, you will analyze, implement, and follow up on quality development work related to after-school activities. Collaboration with the school's other development groups is part of the assignment. Through collaboration between school and after-school activities, conditions for student learning are created. • You contribute to spreading experiences within and between schools and sharing research and scientific theories with colleagues in a collegial professional learning environment. • You adopt a learning perspective and create good relationships with all students and colleagues where positive expectations are a natural part. • As a development teacher, you are expected to be enthusiastic and a good ambassador for the profession. In addition to the targeted development teacher assignment, you and your colleagues will be responsible for the school's after-school activities, offering meaningful activities based on students' needs, interests, and experiences. You must also demonstrate four years of well-documented work as a licensed teacher in after-school activities. Experience leading work in after-school activities or similar settings is meritorious. As the work involves systematic quality work including planning, evaluation, and follow-up, we seek someone with excellent Swedish language skills in both verbal and written communication. As a person, you have good collaboration skills, are stable, flexible, and engaged. You are proactive and work with good structure. You are curious about students' voices and perspectives.
