SimFAS Sweden AB was established in Simrishamn in the mid-seventies under the name Adheseal. In 2013, the company had new owners and changed its name to SimFAS Sweden AB. In March 2019, the company gained new majority owners, Karnell Group AB, which generates over 1 billion SEK in revenue with 17 companies and 700 employees. Karnell is a long-term owner that aims to add value by being an active and engaged development partner. Today, approximately 6,500 tons of fillers, adhesives, sealants, and jointing materials are produced. We have 28 employees and generated a revenue of 118 million SEK in 2024.

Are you a recent graduate in chemistry or do you have a few years of experience and want to contribute to the development of future building products? We are looking for someone who wants to combine theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory work in a growing company with a stable ownership background!
Job Description
As a Development Chemist at SimFAS, you will play a key role in developing and improving the company’s fillers, adhesives, and sealant products. You will work in an engaged team where your creativity and analytical skills will truly come into play.
Your Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize product formulations
• Conduct laboratory tests
• Analyze raw materials and ensure quality
• Collaborate with the production team
• Document and report results
• Participate in exciting development projects
Your Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent experience
• Preferred (but not required) experience in building materials, paint, or similar fields
• Experience working with environmental and quality issues is an advantage
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Curious and engaged personality
