Development Engineer in Medical Technology
SpectraCure is a high-tech development company that creates medical laser equipment for the treatment of various forms of cancer. We are now seeking a development engineer to strengthen our team as we move towards the commercialization of our cancer treatment product. SpectraCure is located in pleasant and newly renovated premises on Gasverksgatan in central Lund.
The Position
You will work in a team with extensive expertise in photonics, electronics, software, and general technology development. Your role will be relatively broad, where we expect you to work with all parts of the system at a high level, but also to have some deeper specialist knowledge, preferably in areas such as testing, medical technology, or regulatory work with technical standards. You will also provide support in the operating room at the hospitals we collaborate with in clinical studies, which will involve travel primarily within Europe, the USA, and Canada.
Responsibilities include:
· Development of products and prototypes
· Writing specifications, design descriptions, and reports, as well as interpreting requirements
· Writing test plans and conducting tests
· Providing technical support during clinical studies
· Traveling to partner hospitals in Europe, the USA, and Canada
The position is based in Lund and is a full-time role.
Your Background
You hold a master's degree in fields such as engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or medical technology. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written. We welcome applicants with experience in developing prototypes or finished products, particularly within medical technology. Experience in optics and photonics, working with documentation under quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485, and working with technical standards is advantageous.
