Job Description In your role as a nurse on Ward 61, you will plan, lead, and perform specific surgical nursing tasks. You will continuously work with observations, be responsible for pre- and post-operative care, pain management, palliative care, and ensure that the patient is optimized before surgery. Your tasks will also include making independent assessments and leading the nursing team. During the day, there are support functions such as care coordinators, clinical nursing leaders, pharmacists, and quality, education, and patient safety officers. We treat and care for patients primarily from Stockholm County, but also from other regions and international patients with surgical or urological diseases. Patients are taken care of in several different specialist clinics, two operating rooms, and four wards with different specialty areas: colorectal surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, bariatric surgery, and liver tumors, as well as urology.
