The Transport Department (TA) is tasked with transporting and supervising individuals deprived of their liberty. These are the clients of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service who are moved between remand facilities and prisons, to court hearings, hospitals, and more. **JOB DESCRIPTION**
The planning operations in Arvidsjaur are organized into two workgroups, one for domestic and one for international transport. Within the international operations, there is also a group of case handlers and specialists at our office in Solna.
Within each workgroup, the transport planner is responsible for planning transports based on established requirements for safety, efficiency, service level, and good resource management. Your assignment is to support and lead the international planning operations towards set goals. An important aspect of the tasks is to continuously collaborate with both internal and external clients, colleagues within the planning group, and to some extent, travel agencies and airlines. You will also relieve the manager of more practical planning issues, which requires you to have a very good knowledge of the planning operations. You are responsible for the competence development plan for planners, developing training and support materials. You are also responsible for coordinating travel and assignments between planners.
You will monitor national issues that come to the unit regarding international operations. Operational development of international processes and quality assurance are included in your assignment.
You will participate in the management group of the unit at designated times.
Travel occurs regularly, so it is important that you can travel and be flexible when needs arise.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
To thrive in the position of international specialist, it is important that you are self-driven, pedagogical, structured, and enjoy creating and maintaining good relationships, as a large part of the work involves collaboration both internally and externally with other authorities such as the police and the Migration Agency. Furthermore, you need to be meticulous and resilient to stress, as there are often peaks with high tempo and workload.
We are looking for someone who has:
• A logistics education or at least 3 years of experience in planning operations, specifically focused on international planning.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• Experience collaborating with the police, the Migration Agency, or similar authorities.
• Very good IT skills.
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience from other areas within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service or another part of the justice system.
• Experience supporting planners in international matters.
• Experience in planning operations within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience in coordinating roles.
• Experience working with quality controls.
• Experience in leadership positions.
• Familiarity with IT systems TPS, HeromaProd, and SharePoint.
• Additional language skills.
