About Us
The Patient Committee is an independent and impartial function within Region Blekinge.
The Patient Committee's activities cover issues related to healthcare (including dental care) provided by the region or under contract with the region, as well as within municipalities.
Based on feedback and complaints from patients and their relatives, the Patient Committee will function as a support and help for patients experiencing problems in their healthcare interactions. The Patient Committee office will also contribute to quality development and high patient safety in healthcare activities. As part of this work, the Patient Committee collaborates with the Health and Social Care Inspectorate and the National Board of Health and Welfare.
We are now seeking someone who wants to work in a varied and broad role as an investigation secretary at the Patient Committee office.
About the Job
As an investigation secretary with the Patient Committee, you will actively and supportively handle individual patient cases. In your role, you will daily manage multiple contact points with patients, relatives, and personnel from various functions and healthcare managers. A central part of your work also involves being an advisory function where you provide information about rights, healthcare regulations, and other relevant information about Region Blekinge's guidelines. An important part of your role will also involve feeding patient perspectives back to healthcare providers.
The investigation secretary role includes:
- Providing information about the organization to various interest groups, healthcare personnel, the public, and managing contacts with different authorities
- Contributing to quality development and high patient safety by analyzing incoming cases, compiling reports, and collaborating with relevant departments
- Developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving internal processes
- Representing the organization and presenting the Patient Committee and its results both internally and externally
- Receiving and processing complaint cases and helping and supporting patients and relatives
- Educating, supporting, and appointing support persons for patients under compulsory care legislation
As the Patient Committee office is in a period of development and improvement work, high willingness and ability to participate in ongoing organizational development are required.
The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment. Rolling selection is applied, with start date by agreement.
About You
We welcome candidates with a college/university degree in healthcare or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. We prefer candidates with experience in similar roles and data analysis tools.
As a person, you are service-oriented and interested in helping people. You enjoy working both independently and in teams. Furthermore, you have a good ability to structure and organize your work, exercise good judgment, and are stable and confident. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
A driver's license is required!
