About this role
Ref: 20252539
We are now seeking more colleagues to join our team working on preventing and investigating benefit fraud. The work aims to develop an already well-functioning approach and strengthen the organization's analytical and preventive capabilities, an area that will continue to develop in the coming years. As part of our growing team, you will contribute to an important societal mission where every effort makes a difference. We are now reinforcing the organization with three new positions. Do you want to help develop the work together with us? Don't hesitate to submit your application!
Job Responsibilities
As an investigation secretary for economic assistance and housing, you will work on receiving, investigating, and following up on cases where assistance may have been incorrectly issued, including suspected benefit fraud. You will be responsible for conducting these investigations in close collaboration with social workers in the department and colleagues in the team. Your assignment also includes deciding whether to file a police report and make decisions about reclaiming funds.
Our section's work of preventing and investigating suspected benefit fraud also means you may be involved in assignments that contribute to the department's development work in the area of economic assistance. In this work, you will participate with your colleagues in various collaborative forums, including with other relevant authorities and local networks based on the assignment. You will have the support of engaged colleagues and management, as well as access to external supervision.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a degree in social work or another relevant and equivalent college/university education. You have several years of previous investigation experience and experience working with official authority. To succeed in this assignment, you need to have excellent administrative skills and good communication skills, both with collaboration partners and colleagues, and in writing, as documentation is an important part of the work. Very good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written, are also a prerequisite for success.
It is meriting if you have previous experience in managing social welfare support and experience with handling incorrect payments within an authority.
As a person, you need to be structured in your daily work while remaining adaptive to the situations you encounter. You are socially oriented and enjoy collaborating and communicating with others to achieve common goals. Furthermore, you have good analytical skills that help you understand complex contexts and make well-founded decisions. You are also not hesitant to take initiative and drive work forward independently and responsibly.
