Workplace At the Swedish Economic Crime Authority in Stockholm, operations are conducted in three economic crime chambers, one financial market chamber, and one police operational unit. We are now looking for one or more investigative analysts for the second economic crime chamber in Stockholm. You will be a resource for all chambers within the organization. The position of investigative analyst at the Swedish Economic Crime Authority is also referred to as operational analyst in other agencies.
The role is based at our office in Stockholm. In late autumn, we will move into new, modern premises on Hälsingegatan. You will not have the opportunity to work remotely from other locations in Sweden.
Responsibilities As an investigative analyst, you will participate in criminal investigations related to economic crime. You will work in teams that may include prosecutors, police officers, economic crime investigators, auditors, and other specialists, such as those with expertise in IT forensics. You will often work on our most complex and high-profile cases.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things: processing and analyzing extensive amounts of information, primarily in electronic form, within the framework of a criminal investigation
structuring information and visualizing materials to illustrate a crime setup, a criminal method, or a sequence of events, or parts thereof
preparing analytical memoranda on observations and conclusions in criminal investigations and, where applicable, testifying about these observations and conclusions in court
conducting other investigative measures as needed
contributing to knowledge dissemination, method development, and improved working practices within the organization.
Qualifications We are looking for candidates who have:
an academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge and experience acquired in another way that the employer deems relevant
work experience as an operational analyst/financial investigator/investigator in preliminary investigations within the last five years
good knowledge and experience of working with and processing secret coercive measures
very good computer skills and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite
very good command of Swedish in both spoken and written forms
good command of English in both spoken and written forms.

The ability to work well with others and contribute positively to a team is essential to achieving common goals and working in accordance with the agency's employee policy, the EBM model. You are unpretentious and can explain things clearly and pedagogically, making it easy for others to understand. You are also analytical in your approach. You take responsibility and can effectively prioritize and plan your work. Since the materials you produce will often be used as evidence, it is important that you are structured, detail-oriented, and ensure that the results are reliable and professional.
