We are seeking an investigator to work on projects related to the social services' work with children and youth, focusing on supporting social services in local operational follow-up. Currently, the emphasis is on supporting the follow-up of preventive and crime prevention efforts at multiple levels, but other areas of concern may also arise.
The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's department for knowledge management for social services serves as the authority's entry point for social service issues. The department is responsible for developing and managing knowledge support and recommendations based on the best available knowledge and applicable regulations for social services. We are also tasked with supporting the development of social services locally and regionally in collaboration with other stakeholders. The department's mission also includes disseminating and implementing the best available knowledge.
**About the Position**
The Unit for Knowledge about Children and Youth 2 is tasked with working closely and supportively in the social services' preventive and crime prevention efforts. We also work on developing knowledge support for social child and youth care, particularly in areas such as violence and harmful use and dependency.
We are now looking for an investigator who, within the framework of ongoing assignments, will develop support for social services in matters concerning local operational follow-up. This role involves working in a team alongside other investigators and professionals within the authority, as well as collaborating with other societal actors.
**We are looking for someone who has:**
- An academic degree that the authority deems relevant for the position
- Experience working with local operational follow-up within social services
- Good knowledge of social services' work with children and youth
- Project management experience or equivalent independent work
- Excellent ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
**It is advantageous if you have:**
- Knowledge of individual-based systematic follow-up within social services
- Experience in method development
- Experience in operational follow-up of preventive or crime prevention work
- Experience working within government operations
- Knowledge of the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's role and mission

**Good to Know**
The employment is a permanent position and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be based at the office on Västerbroplan in Stockholm, but you have the option to work remotely up to two days a week. In the spring of 2027, we will move to new premises in Solna Strand.
