About this role
Waste & Recycling Skaraborg is a municipal association with Essunga, Falköping, Hjo, Grästorp, Gullspång, Götene, Karlsborg, Mariestad, Skara, Skövde, Tibro, Töreboda, and Vara municipalities as members. Our main task is to manage waste collection and processing for over 217,000 residents. Our operational branches include collection, recycling centers, and individual sewage disposal.
The role aims to support property owners and operators in the transition to property-near collection (FNI) in accordance with current legislation and the municipality's goals for increased recycling and resource efficiency. The investigator will serve as an advisor and support during the implementation phase, as well as contribute to internal business development and quality assurance of processes related to waste management and customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an investigator for property-near collection (FNI), you will play a crucial role in guiding property owners and businesses in preparation for new packaging collection requirements. Your work involves ensuring a smooth and efficient implementation by combining analysis, collaboration, and practical support.
The role includes providing qualified advice and support to property owners and operators, participating in planning, implementation, and follow-up of the municipality's FNI implementation. You will be responsible for conducting investigations and assessments of properties' collection conditions and actively contribute to developing work methods, routines, and information materials. The work will be done in close collaboration with customer service, operations, and communication to ensure an efficient and customer-oriented process. An important part of the role is also identifying improvement areas, proposing solutions, and contributing to business development that enhances both quality and service level.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Post-secondary education in service management, logistics, urban planning, or equivalent competence acquired through experience.
• Experience working in municipal operations or similar regulated organization.
• Excellent communication skills in speech and writing, in Swedish.
• Good administrative skills and proficiency in Office 365 environment.
• Driver's license (B-class).
Additional Merits
• Experience in waste and recycling, property-near collection, or customer dialogue in public sector.
• Knowledge of current environmental legislation, waste regulations, and producer responsibility.
• Ability to independently plan, implement, and follow up projects and investigative work.
