**Our Workplace**
The Follow-up and Control Unit is part of the Finance Department, and we are responsible for coordinating the agency's work against incorrect payments, welfare fraud, and labor market crime. The unit works to prevent, detect, investigate, and follow up on incorrect payments, enforce compliance against benefit fraud and scams, and recover incorrectly paid compensation.
The unit consists of five sections with over 90 employees located in Falun, Kristinehamn, Kalmar, and Solna.

**Job Description**
As an investigator, you are expected to independently, and as part of a team, investigate cases where there is suspicion of incorrect payments and welfare fraud. Your work will include participating in various assignments and projects, as well as conducting in-depth investigations, which involve gathering data, analyzing, evaluating, writing reports, and contributing to capacity-building efforts within the section. You need to have strong analytical skills and be able to draw conclusions from complex cases. You can identify needs and are proactive. The position requires you to perform your work independently based on applicable guidelines, but also to collaborate with other parts of our operations. You have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and you easily build trusting and long-term relationships with people around you.
We are looking for someone who has a strong ability to work in a structured and methodical manner and can interpret and apply existing regulations and decisions. You are unpretentious and positive, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, service-oriented, and have good collaborative skills.

This is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date is negotiable. The work location is either Falun or Solna.

**Basic Qualifications**
- A university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system) in a relevant field for the position, such as economics or law.
- At least one year of work experience in the last five years in qualified investigative work, i.e., more complex investigations that require a high degree of judgment.
- Work experience in applying regulations.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning a strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing, as well as high reading comprehension.
**Other Qualifications for the Position**
- Work experience in development work, such as developing and streamlining work methods.
- Work experience in investigating and making decisions regarding incorrect payments from welfare systems to businesses or investigating economic crime.
- Work experience in writing reports.
- Experience interpreting corporate accounting and other financial reports.
