Our Workplace
The Follow-up and Control Unit is part of the Finance Department, and we are responsible for coordinating the agency's work against incorrect payments, welfare crimes, and labor market criminality. The unit works to prevent, detect, investigate, and follow up on incorrect payments, prosecute benefit fraud and deception, and recover incorrectly paid compensation.
The unit consists of five sections with over 90 employees in locations such as Falun, Kristinehamn, Kalmar, and Solna.

Job Responsibilities
As an investigator, you are expected to independently and in groups review and investigate cases to ensure that the regulation-governed conditions are met before making decisions on support for employers or providers. The work also involves developing the section's work, such as skills-enhancing initiatives and developing methodology and guidelines. You need to have analytical ability and be able to draw conclusions from complex cases. The position requires you to perform your work independently based on current guidelines while also collaborating with other parts of our organization. You have good communication skills both verbally and in writing and can easily create trusting and long-term relationships with people around you.
We are looking for someone who can work structured and methodically and can interpret and apply existing regulations. You are unpretentious, positive, service-oriented, and can handle multiple tasks in parallel.

This is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Work locations are Falun, Kalmar, or Solna.

Basic Qualifications
- Higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the previous system) in a relevant area for the position, such as economics or law.
- At least one year of work experience in the past five years of qualified investigative work, i.e., more complex investigations requiring a high degree of assessment.
- Work experience in applying regulations.
- Good Swedish skills, meaning good ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and high reading comprehension.
Additional Merits
- Work experience in development work, such as developing and improving work methods.
- Work experience investigating and making decisions regarding incorrect payments from welfare systems to companies or investigating economic crime.
- Work experience in writing reports.
- Work experience processing and analyzing large amounts of information.
- Work experience interpreting company accounting and other economic data.
