The Swedish Authority for Family Law and Parental Support (MFoF) is seeking a 50% investigator who wants to help share knowledge to ensure children have a safe upbringing and strong relationships with their parents.

The Swedish Authority for Family Law and Parental Support is a knowledge authority under the Ministry of Social Affairs, responsible for parental support, family counseling, and family law under municipal social boards. The authority also works to ensure that international adoptions of children to Sweden occur in a legal and ethically acceptable manner. Additionally, the authority is tasked with providing support to internationally adopted individuals in connection with their search for origins. The authority’s target groups include professionals and decision-makers in municipalities, regions, civil society, as well as families and individuals.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**
As an investigator at MFoF, you will work in an existing team with other investigators in the department. The tasks involve both independent work and collaboration with other colleagues. The position of investigator reports directly to the department head.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Handling incoming inquiries and providing responses within the area of Family Law, revising regulations, manuals, and general guidelines related to family law.
• Working on government assignments and knowledge development.
• Monitoring research and other knowledge development within the authority’s areas of operation, along with changes in the external environment and other factors that affect the expectations and needs of target groups.
• Compiling and participating in the dissemination of knowledge-based reports or other authority texts in accordance with the authority’s mandate.
• Working from a child perspective and possessing professional knowledge about children's and youth development, as well as violence in close relationships.
The investigator will also undertake the customary tasks associated with the role within the authority. Much of the work will be project-based and adhere to fixed timelines.
**Qualifications Required**
We are looking for candidates who have:
• An academic degree from a university or college with a focus in social work.
• Experience in family law.
• Several years of experience in independent knowledge-based investigative work within government, regional, or municipal activities.
• Strong knowledge of family law legislation.
• A deep understanding of children's and youth's health, development, and living conditions, as well as the importance of parenthood for children’s well-being.
• Proficiency in Swedish.
It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of compiling and writing knowledge-based reports.

**Employment**
The position is a permanent employment at 50% capacity. A probation period of 6 months will apply. Start date to be agreed upon. The work location is in Skellefteå, but there is an opportunity for employees living far from the office to work remotely at a higher capacity, in accordance with MFoF’s remote work guidelines. Individual salary setting applies.
