About the job
The Swedish National Agency for Education has been tasked with preparing a new grading system for primary schools, special schools, and upper secondary education. You will work in a cross-functional team with competencies from various parts of the organization, formed to contribute to this mission. The work involves, among other things, developing and managing methods for statistical calibration of grade values and preparing new national final exams.
You will be placed in the School Information Unit within the Analysis Department. The unit consists of twelve employees, and you will also collaborate closely with colleagues in the Curriculum Department.
In this role, you will have many points of contact both within and outside the agency. You will make extensive use of your knowledge in advanced statistical methods and your problem-solving skills. Work is often done in collaboration with colleagues, but some tasks will be performed more independently. In this job, you should have:
- A university degree with a focus on statistics or another relevant field,
- Several years of current experience with advanced quantitative analysis methods, such as multilevel analysis and multivariate methods,
- Several years of current experience working with large datasets,
- Several years of current experience in statistical simulations,
- Good knowledge of modern test theory and experience with item response theory (IRT),
- Strong ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
It is advantageous if you hold a doctorate in a field we consider relevant. Experience working with various psychometric measures to analyze or equate standardized tests is also a plus.

- Focus on goals and results, and plan and prioritize accordingly,
