We conduct research and education in child and youth science, didactics, pedagogy, and nutrition and sports science. The Faculty of Education has overall responsibility for all teacher education at the University of Gothenburg.
The Faculty of Education Office provides qualified administrative support to the faculty management, faculty board, education, and research. The office also provides some administrative support to the faculty's departments, units, and centers. Currently, around 40 employees are responsible for areas such as administration, premises and environment, finance, education, research, communication, internationalization, quality, HR, and other official tasks. The faculty office includes education administration and study guidance to support parts of the teacher education. The faculty office has overall responsibility for placement work for all work-integrated learning (VFU) for students in all teacher programs.
Job Duties
At the office, there is a group of education administrators who work administratively and strategically with VFU issues. Handling teacher students' VFU placements constitutes a large part of the job duties. Work also includes coordination and development of the VFU placement process.
The position as education administrator involves active participation in the University of Gothenburg's collaboration organization for VFU in teacher education, where the development of practice schools is central. The work is performed in close dialogue and collaboration with school operations, numerous departments at the University of Gothenburg, and other employees at the faculty office. The work also includes contact with and support for students, as well as collaboration with course leaders and study counselors.
Education administrators participate in relevant program councils and collaboration committees. Recurring tasks also include planning and leading VFU coordinator meetings.
Additional tasks in education administration may be added.
Qualifications
The position requires:
• Completed relevant higher education
• Good language skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Teaching and/or principal experience from the school system
Particularly meritorious are:
• Experience working with teacher education in the school system and/or at universities
• Study administrative experience in the higher education sector
Great importance will be placed on:
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and systematically
• Solution-oriented approach

Employment
The position is a permanent employment with 100% scope, located at the Faculty of Education Office.
Probationary employment may be applicable.
Start date according to agreement.
