About this role
Please note:
You must be a fully qualified nursing assistant and able to provide certification for this position. We are looking for someone who is a nursing assistant with knowledge and interest in working with individuals who have memory disorders (dementia).
Start date: Immediate
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Schedule: 84.12% (approximately 19 shifts over four weeks, including weekdays and weekends). The organization has chosen not to offer a 100% position as it would otherwise result in too many shifts per month for the employee, contributing to a better work environment.
Please note that we do not approve of you working at more than one workplace during your employment.
Education requirement: Fully qualified nursing assistant with an approved Swedish certification of 1500 points.
Salary: Based on the organization's collective agreement.
A probationary period of 6 months applies from the date of employment according to the collective agreement.
To work in the organization, it is advantageous if you:
- Have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various types of dementia or mental health issues.
- Have worked for an extended period in home care or nursing homes.
- Speak and write Swedish very well, as you will be visiting clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you will need to document in journals and read instructions.
- Are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach.
- Can handle stress and plan and structure your work.
- Have good local knowledge of inner Stockholm, as you will get around using public transport or by walking.

Job Responsibilities
You will follow a service schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the services that have been approved according to the assistance decision. The decision includes, among other things, taking care of general hygiene and personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, cooking, maintaining the home, and social interaction. We work extensively on motivation to be able to perform the services and use various working methods as aids.
Who we are
Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in clients' own homes. The organization also offers escort services, respite care, and housing support.
The organization primarily targets clients with varying degrees of dementia, mental health issues, disabilities, and substance abuse problems. In the evenings, we mainly visit clients with dementia according to the assistance decision.
We use the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out of each client visit using a mobile phone, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.
Where we are and how you will get around to clients
We have clients in 8 different districts, and you will start and end each work shift from Södermalm, where our office is located, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You will get around to clients using public transport or by walking (the organization does not have any cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
