Broskolan is beautifully located in Svedjeholmen in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, offering grades F-9, after-school care, and three preschool departments. The school has approximately 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to educators, the school includes functions such as school administration, student health services, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance. During the spring term of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at enhancing students' physical well-being, participation, and results. This school development work will continue to be refined for the benefit of both students and educators in relation to teaching and education.
The position is a fixed-term employment for approximately 6 months, with the potential for extension. The employment rate is 50 percent.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will focus on students' knowledge in mathematics and their opportunities to feel good and develop in school. This may include:
• Working in small groups with a limited number of students
• Support teaching in mathematics
• Simple assessments
• Parent communication.
You will participate in the school's student health team.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• has a special education degree or another qualification that is deemed equivalent
• is proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• is a colleague who works closely with other professionals to ensure that our students perceive learning in the school as important, inspiring, enjoyable, and challenging.
Experience as a special educator in a school setting is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
