At I Ur och Skur, educators make didactic choices and plan extensive outdoor stays. Here, teaching, outdoor activities, and nature experiences are more the rule than the exception, with the outdoor space used as a learning environment and considered as natural as indoor facilities.
Friluftsfrämjandet's I Ur och Skur methodology aims to help each child develop through outdoor life, play, movement, and experiences involving the whole body and all senses. The operation is permeated by a sustainable approach and an environmental plan that translates into practical action - now more relevant than ever.
With the sea and beach just around the corner, this is an ideal environment for us. We explore our local area by bicycle and take the bus to the forest near Kullaberg. We strive to find the small within the large, work in smaller groups, and collaborate across departments for the children's and the entire preschool's benefit.
The Bäckatrollet Preschool staff cooperative is run by a board. The board works closely with staff, such as preschool teachers and childcare workers in child groups, resulting in short decision-making paths and providing you with significant opportunities to influence the operation and your work situation in a way not possible in larger preschool units. We are part of an I Ur och Skur network collaboration in Skåne-Blekinge, with excellent opportunities for professional development through Friluftsfrämjandet.
The preschool has 35 children aged 1-5 years. The staff consists of 7 employees: three preschool teachers (including one director) and 4 childcare workers.
We are now seeking a childcare worker with a genuine interest in nature who wants to develop alongside us and the children. We want someone who shows joy and commitment with children and is genuinely interested in nature, environment, and outdoor activities, as well as outdoor education and experience-based learning.
You have good collaboration skills with other staff and are solution-oriented, flexible, and positive with ambition and job satisfaction. You see no obstacles in outdoor activities during all seasons and want to lay the foundation for children's nature and outdoor interests. You can take personal responsibility and have the ability to create a sense of security for children and guardians. Together, we work to create secure children and guardians based on our core values of building good relationships. You need to have personal engagement in work at the department and the entire preschool. You should trust others and be responsible, respectful, and supportive of your team.
You have solid pedagogical knowledge and are well-versed in the preschool curriculum and governing documents, with the ability to implement them in daily operations. You view developmental work as an exciting challenge. You appreciate the "small" workplace with fewer children, high staff density, and a personal work environment.
