ABB is one of the leading providers of electrical power products, systems, and services worldwide. The market is growing, and we need to expand our team. At ABB Service, we strive to be close to our customers and are therefore represented in several locations across Sweden - from Gällivare in the north to Malmö in the south. Right now, we are seeking someone who wants to specialize in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and join our growth journey. For this position, we have a long-term plan where you will have excellent opportunities to familiarize yourself with the technology and our offering together with our Power Protection team. This role is a key position to strengthen and develop the service organization within the Power Protection business area at ABB. You will report to the country manager for Power Protection in Sweden.
As Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to implement our service strategy and drive growth within the service operations for the Power Protection team in Sweden. You will lead daily operations, be responsible for results, and work to achieve set goals while optimizing the use of our service resources. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring profitable growth and improved productivity within service.
You will become part of a dynamic, competent, and high-performing team where you will have the opportunity to develop and contribute your technical expertise and leadership to the company's success.
Role and Responsibilities
• Lead the service team, guide, motivate, and develop their technical competence.
• Responsible for technical planning in collaboration with our Job Dispatcher.
• Work on improving and optimizing service processes to maximize profitability and availability.
• Build a profitable, efficient, competent, and high-performing service organization and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements (OHS).
Your Background
• You have a technical education in electrical engineering, electronics, or power engineering.
• You enjoy working with team leadership and development, and have a good understanding of market requirements in Power Protection.
• You have experience in technical leadership and driving service operations.
• You have experience and solid technical knowledge from the UPS/Power Protection market and can demonstrate documented results.
• Requirement to communicate in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
• You have good skills in MS Office and other business-related tools.
• You are communicative and skilled in reporting and summarizing status in writing and speech.
• You have a driver's license.
