Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts of Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 residents and over 6,400 employees.
The Municipal Executive Office is responsible for governance, management, and coordination within the municipality. We contribute to turning visions and political decisions into reality. We are about 275 employees with specialized knowledge in areas such as finance, procurement, HR, communication, development and administration, digitalization, law, place development, and safety and security issues.
**The Position and Responsibilities**
We are looking for a procurement officer who wants to contribute to Botkyrka Municipality's strategic work with sustainable and efficient procurement.
We work with category management, which means we delve into each category to work more proactively with our internal clients and suppliers. Our mission is to develop and strategically manage the total procurement volume, which amounts to approximately 2.6 billion annually for the municipality.
In this position, you will work in a team responsible for the procurement of goods and services. The role involves being the category manager for one of the categories: food, transportation, services, or goods. Which category or categories you will be responsible for is open for discussion and will be determined by your interests and knowledge within the various categories. You will report to the municipality's procurement manager and will be one of 12 procurement officers in the unit.
**Your Main Responsibilities:**
- Independently lead and conduct procurements within the category in collaboration with the relevant operations.
- Be responsible for managing and following up on signed agreements within your area of responsibility.
- Develop the municipality's work on procurement and follow-up in collaboration with colleagues and the municipality's contract controller.
- Provide advice and support on procurement and call-off issues.
**We Offer You**
The procurement unit currently has 26 employees who together drive and develop the procurement and purchasing operations with the goal of being at the forefront of public procurement. We work in project form together with the municipality's internal clients. You will also have the opportunity to participate in internal development projects.

**Who You Are**
You have a university degree in economics, law, engineering, or another post-secondary education that the employer considers equivalent. To succeed in the role of procurement officer, you need experience in independently conducting goods and service procurements and knowledge of public procurement (LOU). You also need to have experience communicating professionally in both spoken and written Swedish.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- In-depth knowledge and experience of public procurement.
- Experience working with category management in either public or private sectors.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in a politically governed organization.

The role also requires you to be structured and able to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your procurements and agreements in a way that creates clarity and security in the process.
