About this role

Are You Ready for a Major Task? The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest agency with approximately 40,000 employees nationwide. Here, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society. Police Common Systems is a unit within the IT department responsible for providing shared IT capabilities and support used across multiple policing areas. The unit is now growing to handle several expanded assignments within our domain. The Geographic Systems group works on developing the Police Authority's shared, in-house developed map applications – a central support for police operational work. We are currently facing a generational shift, developing next-generation mapping solutions for both internal and external personnel. The group consists of experienced project leaders, system developers, architects with high-tech expertise in system development and geographic systems (GIS) for iOS, Windows, and web. Job Description As a Project Leader, you will be part of a team that collectively develops and manages the police's shared in-house developed map applications. The role encompasses a variety of tasks, with a significant focus on close collaboration with system developers and multiple stakeholders. Travel within Sweden is part of the job. As a Project Leader, you will: • Ensure the team delivers small and continuous deliveries with the right quality • Engage in needs dialogue with the business, together with UX designer/requirements analyst • Conduct workshops and lead meetings • Act as an advisor and expert towards the business • Coordinate work between different groups in the IT department and the broader organization • Drive ongoing improvement and development of routines • Support the business with knowledge, training, and procedures for using relevant systems • Support the product owner in strategic product development issues • Ensure the team focuses on benefits and effects, and that everyone knows what we aim to achieve • Act as Scrum Master for the group You will be located centrally in Norrköping and have the opportunity to work from home up to two days per week. Qualifications This is an opportunity for someone who has: • Three-year college education in a relevant field • At least three years of relevant and current experience leading, coordinating, and structuring IT development as a product owner, project leader, test leader, or project manager • Good technical understanding of software development or IT infrastructure • Worked several years with agile methodology in development teams • Excellent Swedish skills, both spoken and written • Swedish citizenship is required Additional merits include: • Deep understanding of agile work emphasizing iterative development, continuous feedback, and data/value-based decision-making • Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools • Experience structuring and documenting organizational IT needs • Experience working with requirements and needs analysis Personal Characteristics We seek someone who wants to deliver value to our organization.
