Background and Project Description
Our client's current SCADA/EMS operational monitoring system is to be replaced, with the project goal of implementing a new system.
Role and Responsibilities
The role primarily involves managing one of the client's most critical projects. You will be responsible for project planning, progress, and reporting according to the scope and tasks delegated by the steering committee and program manager.
The role primarily operates within a project encompassing operational management and other business-related activities. The project includes establishing an IT solution with comprehensive business testing and platform deployment with organizational users.
The role may also be responsible for supporting other projects within the program and/or other initiatives within the project's organizational context, such as assisting with investigations, risk management, coordination, change management, administrative work, continuity planning, etc.
Work Includes:
• Project/Sub-project Management
• Activity Leader for various project parts and deliverables, e.g., EMS functions, design, configuration, testing, deployment, management establishment, training, etc.
• Collaboration and support for surrounding initiatives, e.g., program change projects, line management establishment, other client-related initiatives, Nordic TSOs, etc.
• Responsibility for project management in the EMS area within an ongoing business project, focusing on implementing a new SCADA/EMS system
• Responsibility to contribute domain knowledge in SCADA/EMS, e.g., EMS functionality, maintenance issues, testing and acceptance procedures in implementation projects, etc.
• Deliver results, follow up, and report to project manager and relevant stakeholders
• Provide support and expert knowledge to other initiatives within the program and line organization
Mandatory Requirements:
• At least a technical university degree or equivalent acquired experience
• At least 10 years of documented work experience with technical support systems (IT/OT) for a European TSO or DSO
• Documented work experience of at least 5 years as a leader in power grid operations (project manager, sub-project manager, or team leader) in SCADA/EMS/DMS system projects
• At least 2 years of work experience within the last 5 years as a project manager in IT assignments for government agencies and/or state-owned companies with high IT and information security requirements
• Good Swedish and English language skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
• Work experience as a project or sub-project manager in at least one assignment in the past 5 years regarding EMS functionality during replacement or renewal of SCADA/EMS system for a European TSO or DSO
• Work experience in at least one assignment in the past 5 years regarding requirement specification for procurement and evaluation of requirements fulfillment for replacement or renewal of a new SCADA/EMS system
• At least 2 years of work experience with PPS project management model
