The Institute of Health and Care Sciences conducts education and research focused on care, health, and human life conditions. We educate nurses, radiographers, specialist nurses, and midwives with the goal of meeting society's need for competent and committed healthcare professionals. Our research spans a wide range of areas but shares a common foundation in person-centered and evidence-based care. We are nationally and internationally leading in person-centered care, an approach that permeates our education, research, and collaboration with healthcare services.
The Institute is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and is located on Campus Medicinareberget, directly adjacent to Sahlgrenska University Hospital — an environment characterized by interprofessional collaboration, clinical relevance, and high academic quality. The Institute has approximately 1,200 students enrolled in healthcare programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We are seeking a colleague with a strong interest in teaching and developing courses and pedagogy. The position requires a genuine commitment to creating good conditions for student learning and a deep engagement in educational development.
The position is primarily placed within the Section for Care for Long-Term Conditions. The duties are mainly within the department's undergraduate programs, although teaching and supervision at the advanced level may also occur.
Duties include:
- Responsibility for and planning of the course Symptoms and Signs of Ill Health
- Teaching and examination
- Supervision of theses and clinical placements
- Course coordination and curriculum development
- Contributing to the development of the main subject area
- Collaborating with the healthcare sector on clinical education
Eligibility Requirements:
- Completed higher education at minimum Master's level in Nursing or Caring Science
- Demonstrated teaching proficiency
- Nursing degree
- Swedish nursing license
- Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English
The successful candidate must be able to teach in both Swedish and English.
