This includes supervision, examination, course evaluation, and course development. Research and education are closely intertwined here, with research forming the foundation of our educational programs. Collaboration is also an integral part of our research and educational mission, and as a university lecturer, you will actively contribute to the university's development work. Your responsibilities will also include general administration, professional development, and participation in daily operations within the subject area and the academy. MDU's Academy of Business, Society, and Technology is undertaking a comprehensive initiative to promote a more holistic understanding and deepen research on the industrial, technological, economic, human, and political dimensions of sustainable and just societal development in a geopolitical context. The initiative aims to create opportunities to address climate, environmental, green economy, and justice issues in an integrated manner and develop multidisciplinary knowledge that can support society's climate adaptation and transformation efforts with a critical and pluralistic approach. The Department of Organization and Management has around 40 employees. We are a progressive and engaged group that continuously discusses business economics as a subject and its role in society, and we work in various ways with collaboration in both teaching and research. We are responsible for a range of courses in organization and management across different business economics programs and the Master’s program in industrial economics. We are now looking for someone who feels they would thrive and fit in our environment. Your responsibilities will include: • Teaching and taking responsibility for courses related to organizational and leadership theories; in our business economics programs and the Master’s program in industrial economics, • Supervising theses, teaching qualitative methods, and taking responsibility for thesis courses, • Contributing to the development of the subject area and the faculty in organization and management and in business economics/industrial economics through active participation in seminars and other joint activities, • Contributing to quality development and accreditation work related to programs and courses. Eligibility Requirements We are looking for someone who has demonstrated pedagogical proficiency and has obtained a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence relevant to the subject and profile of the position. The scientific and pedagogical proficiency must be documented in such a way that the quality of previous work can be assessed. To be employed as a teacher at MDU, higher education pedagogical training or equivalent knowledge is required. Those who are employed but lack higher education pedagogical training will be offered the opportunity to undergo such training during their employment within two and a half years. The higher education pedagogical training at Mälardalen University corresponds to ten weeks of training. For this position, the following additional eligibility requirements apply, in addition to those established in the Employment Regulations at MDU. You must have good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English to perform regular tasks related to research, teaching, and administration.
