Additionally, the role involves tasks typically associated with a university lecturer position, such as administration and internal and external trust assignments, both nationally and internationally. The appointed candidate is expected to take leadership responsibility for education and research in the subject area. Eligibility Eligible for employment as a university lecturer according to https://www.riksdagen.se/sv/dokument-och-lagar/dokument/svensk-forfattningssamling/hogskoleforordning-1993100_sfs-1993-100/#K4 is someone who has demonstrated scientific proficiency, completed a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence, or possesses other professional skills relevant to the position's subject content and associated tasks. Furthermore, pedagogical skills are required. If the candidate is deemed to have special reasons for not completing five weeks of higher education pedagogical training upon appointment, they must complete such training within two years of taking the position. Swedish language proficiency at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is mandatory. Assessment Criteria The applicant should demonstrate pedagogical, scientific, and administrative skills relevant to global health, with a specific focus on healthcare systems. Particular emphasis will be placed on pedagogical skills. The applicant should show pedagogical proficiency relevant to the subject area in education and supervision at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels. This can be demonstrated through a strong ability to plan, lead, develop, and implement education, as well as the ability to translate subject-specific and research-based competence into educational components. The ability to lead university education at undergraduate and advanced levels will be especially meritorious. Furthermore, the applicant should demonstrate scientific proficiency by conducting current research at a high national and/or international level. Scientific skills are shown through publications in international scientific journals, competitive research grants, and experience in national and international research collaboration. Scientific proficiency is also demonstrated through research activities relevant to the subject area and documented potential for long-term career development. The research's significance for healthcare system development, as well as its connection to global contexts and international organizations such as the European Union (EU) and the World Health Organization (WHO), is a particularly meritorious aspect. The applicant should demonstrate a strong ability to lead, collaborate, and engage with the surrounding society, both nationally and internationally.
