Your Responsibilities
The position is located in the Department of Education and Sociology (APS) within the School of Behavioral Sciences and Learning (IBL). The department offers teaching activities from basic to advanced levels in the form of independent courses in education and sociology as well as behavioral sciences. The department is also involved in several of the university's educational programs, such as the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Human Resources, the Psychology program, and the Teacher Education programs. The department's research addresses issues related to work and working life, such as workplace learning and skills development, workforce supply, leadership and managerial work, change and development processes within and between organizations, the interplay between education and working life, employability, and social exclusion in the labor market.
As a university lecturer in education with a focus on work and working life, you will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in Swedish and English, as well as supervise students in the department's independent courses in education and in courses within the educational programs in which the department participates, particularly in the Human Resources programs. The teaching is characterized to a large extent by student-active working and examination methods. The work includes course design and course responsibility.
Your role includes keeping abreast of developments nationally and internationally within your subject area and other societal developments that are relevant to your work.
You are flexible and capable of moving between different types of pedagogical and scientific contexts. You share knowledge and contribute to the professional development of the workgroup, collegial working methods, and social community. Being present and active is essential for you to perform your tasks effectively and thrive in the work community.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has obtained a Master's degree or possesses equivalent qualifications, and has demonstrated pedagogical competence.
For this position, particular emphasis will be placed on pedagogical competence.
The following will be assessed regarding pedagogical competence:
• A requirement for the position is documented pedagogical competence in education with a focus on work and working life.
• Particularly meritorious is documented pedagogical competence from teaching in the areas of Human Resources, leadership and managerial work, as well as change processes in organizations.
• Documented pedagogical competence in using various student-active teaching and examination methods is advantageous.
• Documented competence in pedagogical development work within education with a focus on work and working life is also meritorious.
Since teaching is conducted in Swedish, you must demonstrate the ability to teach in Swedish. Some teaching occurs in English, so the ability to teach in English is also advantageous.
