The department is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and is located on the Medicinarberget Campus, in close proximity to Sahlgrenska University Hospital – an environment characterized by interprofessional collaboration, clinical relevance, and high academic quality. Our department has approximately 1,200 students studying licensed healthcare professions at both undergraduate and advanced levels. We are seeking an employee with a strong interest in teaching, who is interested in course development and pedagogical advancement. The candidate should have significant commitment to knowledge transfer and strong pedagogical engagement. The position is primarily located within the section for Learning and Leadership in Health Professions. Practical teaching at the clinical training center is included, and if needed, work tasks may involve collaboration with other sections of the department. Subject Nursing with a focus on organization, leadership, and learning Teaching responsibilities will primarily involve nursing-specific areas related to nursing professional core competencies: person-centered care, safe care, informatics, team collaboration, evidence-based care, improvement knowledge, leadership, and pedagogy. Tasks include planning and teaching at undergraduate and advanced levels, staying updated on current developments in specific subject areas, organization, learning, and leadership, and serving as course coordinator. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating learning objectives, learning activities, examination forms, and assessment criteria. The position involves supervising undergraduate theses and serving as a contact teacher for clinical practice education. Quality assurance of education through validated evaluation methods is also required, with some teaching of clinical skills. Administrative tasks related to educational activities are a significant part of the work. Other tasks may arise, and the position's content may change over time. The position requires teaching in Swedish and English.
