We are currently seeking a university lecturer in business law with a focus on insurance law, to be placed at the Department of Economic and Industrial Development (IEI).
**About the Job**
A teacher's responsibilities may include managing education or research as well as administrative tasks. A teacher is also expected to keep up with developments in their subject area and other societal developments that are relevant to their work. The holder of the position as a university lecturer will participate in teaching at the undergraduate level, but teaching at the advanced level may also occur.
For this position, the responsibilities include participating in and leading instruction in business law, primarily focusing on insurance law and contract law. The instruction pertains to Swedish law.
**About You**
We are looking for someone who has obtained a master's degree or has equivalent qualifications, and has demonstrated pedagogical skills.
For this position, equal weight will be given to subject expertise and pedagogical proficiency.
Documented subject expertise and pedagogical skills/teaching experience in business law are required for the position.
Practical professional experience in insurance law is an advantage for the position.
Documented pedagogical skills in insurance law are particularly meritorious for the position.
Subject expertise should be demonstrated through the ability to apply materials and knowledge relevant to the depth of the position.
Pedagogical skills are shown through the ability to convey relevant knowledge and skills, engage students in their own learning, create interest and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as the ability to structure and organize both content and working methods in relation to the goals of the subject area. Additionally, pedagogical skills should be demonstrated through the ability to contribute to the development and renewal of education and the ability to reflect on one's own teaching practice.
**Your Workplace**
The Department of Business Law is part of the Department of Economic and Industrial Development and has about 20 employees. The department conducts both education and research, primarily related to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Education is offered in the field of business law through bachelor's and master's programs in business law. Additionally, courses are provided within the business administration program, the international business administration program, other educational programs at the technical university and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, as well as standalone courses at both undergraduate and advanced levels. The department also conducts research and doctoral education in business law.
**About the Employment**
The position is paid hourly.
Start date is to be agreed upon.
