**Role Summary**
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
In this role, you will lead and develop platform teams to deliver value and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture. The group’s mission is to collect detailed logging data from a global test vehicle fleet and make it easily accessible for the TRATON R&D organization. This involves installing logging equipment in vehicles, transmitting data via mobile networks, processing it in AWS and Snowflake, ensuring availability for consumers, and driving data adoption among users across the organization. The goal is to enable a data-driven development loop as future vehicles are tested in real-world operations worldwide.
**Job Responsibilities**
You will work closely with skilled engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on performance, reliability, and innovation with key responsibilities to:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, supporting and coaching members to grow and deliver value.
- Ensure proper configuration of test vehicles and deliver robust, compatible data logging solutions for diverse development needs.
- Drive continuous improvement and simplification to meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global TRATON R&D stakeholders and maintain strong relationships across departments.
- Engage in technical discussions to empower teams in building high-quality, reliable solutions.
- Communicate the purpose and value of data, aligning different viewpoints and managing change effectively.

You are an experienced leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for empowering teams. You thrive in balancing strategic thinking with hands-on engagement. Building relationships and fostering collaboration comes naturally to you, and you are skilled at aligning diverse perspectives toward common goals. You understand the value of data in product development and can communicate its impact clearly.
To thrive in this role, we believe that you have:
- Proven experience in product development within the automotive industry (e.g., powertrain, battery systems, ADAS).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions.
- Solid understanding of development processes and the role of data in these.
- Excellent communication skills (in English) and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading teams and driving organizational or technical change.
**Preferred qualifications:**
- Background in software development.
- Experience driving adoption of telemetry, logging, or data platform capabilities.
