About Unika Nimbus Children and Youth Residence
Unika Nimbus Children and Youth Residence in Lund is a facility dedicated to children and adolescents belonging to Group 1 under the LSS (Act concerning support and service for persons with certain functional impairments). We are a flexible operation where we are able to meet each resident's individual needs and interests, ranging from recreational activities to daily wishes. We often take trips to nearby attractions, engage in leisure activities together, visit local shops, or take the bus downtown. We strive for participation and influence for our resident youths in everything from cooking meals to choosing a movie during our shared movie time.
About the Role of Support Assistant
As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with functional variations, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in daily life. You will assist users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will utilize clear communication pedagogy and a low-arousal approach to create safety and predictability in users' daily lives. At the same time, we maintain a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources of the operation.
Qualifications
• Excellent command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, experience in documentation.
• Experience working with Clear Communication Pedagogy.
• Experience in care and support work.
• High school education such as the Child and Recreation Program, Health and Care Program, or post-secondary education such as Support Pedagogue, Social Pedagogue, or university studies in a relevant field.
• A valid driver's license is required.
It is advantageous if you also have:
• Experience with Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) and low-arousal response.
• Experience working with complex support needs.
Employment Conditions
Type of Employment: Permanent
Working Hours: Approximately 85%
Work Schedule: Irregular, evenings, night shifts, weekends
Start Date: By agreement, we are positive if you can start soon.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
