We are now looking for a Youth Support Worker for the Individual and Family Services in Hallsberg Municipality!
About the Organization
The Individual and Family Services in Hallsberg Municipality employs around 55 staff members, both men and women of varying ages and years of experience. The department includes the adult unit, which encompasses financial support, addiction care, outpatient care, and assistance case management. Within the child and family unit, there are investigation groups, family law specialists, foster care caseworkers, child advocates, and outpatient care.
Job Responsibilities
As a Youth Support Worker in the Individual and Family Services, you will work closely with our family therapists to provide the necessary support to young people. This involves close collaboration with both internal and external partners, with the school as a central partner. You will also conduct supportive conversations with both youths and their guardians.
Furthermore, you will be working on:
• Building relationships between the youth and their families
• Breaking destructive networks and protecting against crime and substance abuse
• Creating meaningful leisure activities and alternative environments
• Reinstating a focus on education through an individualized plan
The work takes place in the youth’s environment: at home, in youth clubs, in schools (if possible), at community centers, and through digital channels. A strong emphasis will be placed on presence, trust, and action. The work will also occur in the evenings.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is engaged, organized, and social, with an ease for establishing connections with people. You need to be independent and calm in your demeanor and have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Personal suitability for the position will be assessed.
A B driver's license is required.
Previous experience in similar assignments is preferred.

The position is a project employment until October 30, 2026. The employment will be in collaboration with the youth clubs in Hallsberg.
