We are looking for a Youth Coordinator!
Do you want to help develop the football players of the future? We at IFK Eskilstuna are now seeking a Youth Coordinator who wants to contribute to creating a safe, fun, and developmental environment for our children and youth.
IFK Eskilstuna is one of the city's most historic and dedicated football clubs. Since our founding in 1897, we have been an important part of Eskilstuna's sports life, with a strong focus on development, community, and the joy of football for children, youth, and adults alike. We are now strengthening our organization with a particular focus on our children and youth activities.
About the Role:
As a Youth Coordinator, you will have the overall responsibility to support, develop, and ensure the quality of our youth activities. You will work closely with our coaches, players, and guardians, always with the club's values in focus: Engagement – Joy – Camaraderie. Since the role primarily aims to support and develop our youth activities, the work will take place at and around the football fields at our facility, Balsta IP.
Your Mission:
• Be a support and sounding board for our youth coaches.
• Ensure that the activities are conducted in line with the club's values, policies, and player development plan.
• Organize internal training sessions, coach meetings, and the introduction of new leaders.
• Create a coherent path in player development – from youth to senior.
• Support players in their development and opportunities for rotation training or further career steps.
• Be a clear link between youth activities, senior teams, the board, and the mentoring council.
• Follow up, analyze, and report on the development of the activities.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who has:
• Experience in children's and youth sports.
• Good communication skills and pedagogical training.
• Understanding of the structure and culture of club life.
• Ability to create structure, organize, and follow up.
• Strong ability to collaborate both within the club and with external parties.
Requirements:
• Coaching education according to SvFF's educational ladder (at least UEFA B).
• Experience in mentorship and player development.
• Post-secondary education with a focus on sports science.
Meritorious:
• Knowledgeable and trained in football analysis.
• Documented football experience.
• Training in conflict management.
• FUIF trained.
Scope:
• The position is a 50% fixed-term employment (1 year) with opportunities for extension.
• A 6-month probationary period applies.
• Evening and weekend work is common in connection with training, matches, and training sessions.
