The Culture and Leisure Administration manages and oversees the municipality's cultural and leisure facilities, such as libraries, youth centers, cultural schools, theaters, and sports facilities. We also provide services and grants to associations within the municipality. We are looking for a youth coach with experience in music activities for the Active Leisure unit, which works with youth activities at the municipality's meeting places. The unit includes five youth centers, a mobile youth program, and FUNKA. Modern youth work requires continuous development and must therefore be based on a holistic view of young people's lives. It is built on voluntariness, where we meet young people and always work from their own initiatives and interests, with a focus on the learning process. RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a youth coach, you will have operational responsibility for the music activities that foster community among young people. You will plan activities based on the participants' wishes, primarily focusing on musical expressions. You need to be attentive, flexible, and engaged, as well as open to new ideas. Working hours: weekdays afternoons/evenings, sometimes weekends for concerts and events. The role involves collaboration with the cultural school and the culture unit. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • High social competence, collaboration skills, and the ability to create participation and trust. • A calm and supportive approach to communication with young people. • A musical background and technical knowledge in music and music production. • Educational experience and familiarity with working with young people (e.g., as a teacher, coach, youth leader). • Experience in leading and organizing music activities. • Youth leader training or equivalent higher education that the employer considers comparable. • Desirable: experience in diversity-oriented cultural activities and an understanding of the connection between health, mental well-being, and creative expression.
