Job Description: Personal Assistant Needed I am entering a new phase of life, moving into my own apartment as an adult. This is where you come in - to enable my independent living. You will support me in living the independent life I want. You will become an important part of my personal development. I am currently building my assistance team and seeking two part-time assistants. About Me: I'm bold yet careful, with lots of thoughts and humor. I'm 23 years old and originally from South Korea. My biggest interests are music, food, and books. I enjoy learning new things. I like activities like going out and snowboarding, or watching movies. Currently, I'm not employed, which makes my days look a bit unusual. My hope is to study in the future. I have Cerebral Palsy, which accompanies me through life and teaches me a lot about myself and the world. It affects my entire body, especially my right side and oral motor skills. I need support or help with all physical tasks. I communicate using alternative communication methods. Therefore, I need assistants who can interpret and convey my communication in both Swedish and English. I can walk but use a wheelchair for longer distances. Job Responsibilities: You may need to help me in different ways at different times, even for the same task. It's crucial to be attentive and not make assumptions. As my assistant, you need to know me, my functional variation, and my communication methods very well. You must be able to capture details and nuances. Specific duties include: • Personal hygiene (toilet visits, showering, dressing) • Mic-Key care • Meal assistance • Household chores and daily activities • Tasks requiring two hands • Outdoor activities • Leisure activities and interests • Accompanying on short trips • Communication support and note-taking • Being present and responsive to my needs and routines • Providing support without taking over - your assistance should promote my independence • Handling personal and intimate support with respect for my integrity Work Schedule: Two part-time positions with hourly compensation and potential extension after a trial period: • Monday-Thursday: 06:30-16:00 and 16:00-23:00 • Friday: 06:30-16:00 and 16:00-23:45 • Saturday: 06:30-12:00 and 12:00-23:45 • Sunday: 06:30-12:00 and 12:00-23:00 Requirements: • Ability to cook • Note-taking skills • Willingness to learn sign language support • Communication sensitivity • Organizational skills and flexibility • No fur allergies • Non-smoker Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Mic-Key • Interest in alternative communication methods Personal Qualities: Genuinely interested in people and personal assistance. Flexible, structured, present, attentive, curious, mature, professional, and self-confident. Strong communication skills (verbal and alternative). Ability to build deep, professional relationships.
