Care Assistant at Hagens Dementia Center – where professionalism meets compassion Do you wish to work in a place where you make a real difference every day? At Hagens Dementia Center in Herrljunga, we are now seeking a dedicated care assistant who wants to help create a meaningful everyday life for our residents. JOB DESCRIPTION As a care assistant with us, you will work based on a person-centered and salutogenic approach, recognizing individual resources and needs, and contributing to security, participation, and quality of life. You will support our residents in their daily lives, perform delegated health and medical care tasks, and document in digital systems. You will be an active part of the team, contributing to development and quality assurance efforts, and participating in planning for good and safe care. You see possibilities and approach changes and challenges with a flexible and positive attitude. You have strong communication skills, are collaborative, and are self-assured in your professional role. You engage with individuals in a compassionate and professional manner and desire to make a genuine impact on people's lives every day. A significant part of your role will also involve documentation and follow-up. You will be responsible for maintaining social documentation, establishing, and following through on action plans within our digital systems, viewing documentation as a natural component of quality assurance in our operations. You will also hold representative roles and areas of responsibility, contributing to developments in areas such as hygiene, documentation, or nutrition. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in all departments where there is a need. The work includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. Bank-ID or Freja eID+ is required for this position. We are looking for someone who: • Is a trained care assistant with a protected professional title • Has experience in elderly care, preferably within dementia care • Is professional, attentive, and respectful when interacting with residents, relatives, and colleagues • Communicates effectively and expresses themselves clearly, both orally and in writing • Feels secure in their professional role, sees the bigger picture, and contributes to the development of routines and working methods • Has a genuine commitment to people and a drive to grow and learn • Works in a structured, flexible manner with a holistic perspective, prioritizing the best interests of the organization and fostering a positive work environment • Is thorough and responsible, understanding the importance of documentation and follow-up, with good digital skills and experience in working with operational systems QUALIFICATIONS • Educated care assistant • Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written • Experience working in elderly care, particularly residential care and/or home care • Knowledge/experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments is advantageous • Familiarity with performing delegated health and medical care tasks • Experience in documentation within healthcare (knowledge of Combine is a plus) • A genuine interest in meeting and supporting the elderly with varying needs and cognitive impairments OTHER In Herrljunga municipality, full-time is the norm with the possibility for part-time work.
