**Our Operations**
In the emergency department for infectious diseases, we receive adult patients with acute infections, i.e., infectious diseases and other infection-related conditions requiring specialist care. We examine, investigate, and treat our patients during their visit. Sometimes, patients can leave the hospital after just a few hours, while others need to be admitted for continued care. The work pace is often high and the patient flow can sometimes be intense, making the workdays interesting and educational. Our emergency department is open from 07:30 to 21:30 every day of the week.

**Your Role**
As a nursing assistant in the infectious emergency unit, you will work in a team with doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. Your role is to contribute to effective initial care and good nursing of our acute patients. You will encounter patients with a wide variety of symptoms and medical conditions.
You will perform vital signs checks and sample collection from patients, both during the acute phase and throughout the continued investigation. Other tasks that our nursing assistants are responsible for include wound cultures, EKG recordings, bladder scans, and catheter placements. You will also assist in various examinations, such as supporting our doctors during lumbar punctures. It is an exciting investigative work that allows us to make diagnoses, initiate treatment, and often cure our patients.
The job involves a lot of patient contact and requires a developed understanding of the patient's nursing needs. You become the patient's comfort and support in a situation that can be perceived as stressful for both the patient and their relatives. We value the nursing assistant's perspective in patient-centered work and see your professional skills as an important complement to other professions. Hygiene routines, wound care, and skin assessments are among the areas of expertise for our nursing assistants. **Your Qualifications**
You are a trained nursing assistant with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. It is advantageous if you have prior experience in emergency care, are familiar with sample collection, catheter placement, and other patient examinations such as EKG.
**Your Competence**
You thrive in an emergency flow, with constantly new patient contacts. You have the ability to structure your work and prioritize your tasks even during high workloads. You can work independently and take initiative in your daily tasks. You care for your responsibilities and see the overall care of the individual. We place great importance on personal qualities, communication skills, and the desire to develop through continuous learning.
**We Offer**
We offer a temporary position at 75% for 1 year starting from January 19th. We actively work with scheduling to accommodate staff work hours according to individual wishes and needs whenever possible. The work includes some evening and weekend shifts.
