The Rheumatology Clinic in Linköping is part of the Medicine Center.
The clinic receives patients from across the region for the investigation and treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases and has a comprehensive responsibility for the development and research in rheumatology in Östergötland. Rheumatology is an exciting specialty in rapid development with new treatment possibilities. We have a large outpatient clinic and collaborate with the nephrology department B173 for inpatient care, as well as partnering with several healthcare centers in the region. We work in new, modern facilities characterized by a positive atmosphere and a good collaborative climate where we help and support each other. Our staff consists of about 60 employees in professions such as doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical administrators, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Job Description
We are now seeking a new colleague for our nursing assistant group (6 nursing assistants). In the group, we have a good and close collaboration. We care for one another and support each other. As a nursing assistant at our clinic, you will rotate between three different workstations: specimen collection, appointment booking, and service rounds. During the specimen collection shift, you will work with a colleague, inputting orders in Labros, performing sample collections after doctor visits, and assisting with research samples. On the service round, you will work with a colleague and be responsible for 1177 prescriptions, cancellations/rescheduling, the messaging function for various matters, healthcare-to-healthcare phone calls, monitoring certain test results in our monitoring system, and providing support to doctors during consultations which may include blood pressure measurements, EKG, and assistance during joint injections etc. The appointment booking shift involves being responsible for 4-5 doctors, working independently with bookings for doctor appointments, phone consultations, and injection appointments. You will monitor cancellations and maintain close collaboration with schedulers and doctors.
Additional duties include assisting with injection clinics and joint injections in ultrasound appointments. Tasks such as cleaning examination rooms, replenishing supplies, and preparing for the next day’s clinics are included for everyone in the group. As a new nursing assistant, you will be offered approximately 5 weeks of orientation. You will be assigned a mentor and your supervisor will conduct regular follow-up meetings with you to ensure you feel welcomed and secure in your role. You will also have the opportunity during your orientation to shadow various professional categories to gain insight into our exciting operations at the Rheumatology Clinic.

About You
We are looking for a trained nursing assistant with an interest in rheumatology. You should have several years of experience working as a nursing assistant in the healthcare sector. Experience working in a clinic is considered an asset.
We seek someone with a positive attitude and a good approach. Since the job involves much contact with both patients and colleagues, it is important that you have strong collaborative skills and enjoy helping others. As a nursing assistant, you need to be comfortable with the variability of each day and have an easy time adapting to changing circumstances. In this role, it is crucial to be stable and assured as a person, with strong self-awareness. You should have proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
