The MAVA/Cardiology Department in Örnsköldsvik belongs to Local Healthcare Northern. The department focuses on cardiology and medical acute care. We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants, managing groups of 5-6 patients. Common conditions we treat include:
• Infection
• Shortness of breath
• Myocardial infarction
• Heart failure
• Arrhythmia
• Fainting
We are currently seeking a nursing assistant to join our team! When you start with us, you will receive a two-week introduction. As a new employee, you will also participate in internal training sessions such as A-BLS, ProAct, and practical components at the KTC tailored to the needs of the department. We have a well-functioning mentorship program where you will receive support and guidance from an experienced nursing assistant. Additionally, there is a mentoring nurse on-site whose main task is to daily support and guide the staff in both major and minor issues. As a newly hired nursing assistant, you are also invited to participate in our development year – a training program where you can deepen your knowledge and share experiences with other new colleagues.
We also offer individual wish schedules with great flexibility, as well as the possibility of reduced working hours and personalized salary setting. The position is a full-time temporary contract, starting as agreed and lasting until September 28, 2026.

Job Responsibilities
Typical nursing tasks for a nursing assistant in an acute care department such as:
• Basic care
• Mobilization
• Monitoring NEWS (vital parameters)
• Venipuncture
• Blood cultures
• Catheter insertion
• Wound dressing

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
• Is a trained nursing assistant
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you:
• Have at least 5 years of experience as a nursing assistant
