About this role
Field of Medicine, Dermatology, and Rheumatology
We are Uppsala University Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we provide services to two million people in Central Sweden. There is always something happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother undergoes surgery, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. With us, you will experience both challenging trials and incredible events, in a strong community with colleagues. See parts of our reality in our photo exhibition; akademiskafotoutstallning.se. We welcome your application!
Our Operations
Ward 30E has 25 beds where we care for internal medicine patients, with a predominance of cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, aortic diseases, hypertension, and venous thrombosis. We have eight telemetry beds for cardiac monitoring. The medical department is staffed every day and at all hours. Being a nursing assistant at Uppsala University Hospital is an exciting role where you encounter people in many different situations. You will also become part of a skilled team that includes doctors, nurses, other nursing assistants, paramedics, and pharmacists who support and help each other while you will also work independently. Here, you can expect a varied job with challenging tasks.
Your Mission
As a nursing assistant, you will be responsible for patient care and performing medical technical procedures such as catheter placement and sampling.
Your Qualifications and Competencies
We are looking for a licensed nursing assistant who, with commitment and pride, wants to take on the task of caring for people with acute medical needs. You are meticulous and put extra focus on creating a sense of security for patients during their stay and at discharge. We see that you enjoy working both with and for people; you have a good demeanor and strong collaborative skills. You are innovative, proactive, responsible, flexible, and have a positive attitude. The ward often has a high patient turnover, as most patients are admitted urgently, so it is important that you enjoy being structured and efficient, with the ability to lead the work and adjust your pace when necessary.
We Offer
We offer a permanent full-time position (or part-time by agreement), with a probationary period possibly applicable. Start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends. With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
