The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders is a university hospital unit located in Umeå with approximately 225 employees. Together with the Surgery and Orthopedic Clinic in Skellefteå and Lycksele, we are responsible for all orthopedic care in the county.
The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders, Umeå is a University Hospital Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are integral parts of daily clinical activities.
Our diverse operations within the Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders are considered stimulating by our staff, as the activities are divided into different sections, providing a varied work environment and a medical knowledge base. We operate with both breadth and depth, addressing everything from assessments of patients' orthopedic issues, both acute and elective. This includes emergency services, outpatient care, inpatient care, and surgery, with a comprehensive range of orthopedic surgery for fractures/trauma, spine, prosthetics, tumors, ankle/foot, shoulder, knee, sports, and pediatric orthopedics.
The orthopedic outpatient clinic in Umeå conducts planned operations with new and follow-up visits for orthopedic conditions. A plaster and wound clinic is part of the services. We collaborate with several other clinics and conduct multidisciplinary rounds and joint consultations.
Our patient groups include individuals of all ages, from our youngest to our oldest patients.
The orthopedic outpatient clinic is characterized by high competence, a good atmosphere, and an open working climate.
DUTIES
As a nursing assistant in our clinic, your tasks will include answering internal phone calls, preparing for upcoming medical consultations, performing EKGs, taking samples, dressing wounds, and assisting doctors with biopsies and punctures.
Experience in wound care is advantageous as you will be part of our wound care team and spend part of your employment at our wound care clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a qualified nursing assistant who values a cooperative work environment and is challenged to take personal responsibility and make independent decisions. You should be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, cope well with stress, and have an interest in development work.
We value flexibility, attention to detail, resilience under pressure, structure, loyalty, and a strong work ethic.
Experience in similar operations and orthopedics is advantageous.
