Your Work Tasks

We are now seeking new colleagues who want to become part of our wonderful work team! These are permanent positions at 100% and work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Here, you will work to provide good service, create meaningful relationships, and contribute to improving the quality of life for our service users. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful day for our citizens in need of support, care, and assistance.
The position includes care tasks such as helping with showering, dressing and undressing, cleaning, laundry, and walks. It may be necessary to perform certain medical tasks after delegation from a nurse. Additionally, you might be asked to help in the kitchen if needed. Before your workday, you will read in our documentation system Treserva to stay updated on what has happened since you last worked and conclude the day by documenting the day's events.
We work based on IBIC (Individual Needs in Center) and with the individual's best interests in focus. Our work is also characterized by a salutogenic approach, which means focusing on wellness and encouraging the person's own abilities.
Your Workplace
Care and Nursing is the department that provides elderly care under municipal management in Linköping. There are approximately 1,200 permanent employees and temporary staff. Linköping Municipality has extensive and well-established experience in care and support for its elderly residents.
Ljungsbro Home Care consists of Vretaliden/Härnebacken Sheltered Housing, located centrally and close to nature in Ljungsbro. For example, it is near both the Göta Canal and Cloetta. The location has good bus connections. The sheltered housing includes apartments, recreational activities, and lunch service. Recreational activities include various meeting point activities for both sheltered housing residents and older persons in the area. This might involve organizing game sessions, mini-gym, or cooking activities. Home care operates from the sheltered housing at Vretaliden, and when you need to visit individuals requiring assistance, you will travel by bicycle, car, or on foot.
Applicant Profile
We are seeking someone with experience in care, support, and assistance, or a completed high school education combined with service work experience. Having a nursing assistant qualification is considered meritorious.
Work in elderly care involves significant customer contact and documentation, which means we require excellent Swedish communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be able to use digital tools in your work, and experience with documentation in journal systems is meritorious. Cycling ability is required. Having a B driver's license is considered meritorious.
As a person, you are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and proactively manage your work. You work well with others, listen, and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have empathetic abilities, meaning you can understand others' perspectives and situations.
